Please stop allowing the speculators to interfer with the price of energy products and food. It is time for the
Commodity Futures Trading Commission to stop listening to the Wall Street lobbyists and impose meaningful position limits.

Why is it that on any given day about half of the oil futures contracts are bought and sold by traders, not companies that use oil, like airlines and power companies. Why is the sky the limit when it comes to how much of the market traders can control? I have seen prices skyrocket simply because speculators are pushing the prices up and are allowed to do so without any limit placed on them.

It is time for all people in responsible government positions to take the side of the American people, especially in this economic time when many people are struggling to say afloat.
