To whom it may concern:
I am writing you to demand that you impose and enforce the Wall Street Reform Act and the Dodd-Frank Rules in order to reduce the cost of gasoline and energy for average American consumers like me. I am calling on you to regulate the speculation of oil futures and to in doing so reduce the price of energy for the American people.
It is surprising to me that more immediate action has not been taken, when it appears to be so generally accepted that 1/5 - 1/4 of the price we pay for gas is due to Wall Street speculation. Surely, America is better than that. And if we're not, then surely some of us are, and those in government who are with me should try, and fail if necessary.
