To whom it may concern:
As a concerned citizen and constituent, I am horrified by the trends in our state and country, with corporations using their financial leverage to influence significant legislation, which places the corporations at further advantage. Our energy policies are among many that follow this pattern.
Financial speculators have negatively impacted significant global commodities - energy, food, and managed to draw legislative support at the expense of everyone - the local population, school system, government, and only for the benefit of the financial speculators.
I am writing you to demand that you impose and enforce the Wall Street Reform Act and the Dodd-Frank Rules in order to reduce the cost of gasoline and energy for average American consumers like me. I am calling on you to regulate the speculation of oil futures and to in doing so reduce the price of energy for the American people.
