commenter_comments: It has come to my attention that there is a
proposal up for consideration (Regulation of
Off-Exchange Retail Foreign Exchange Transactions
and Intermediaries) to implement the CFTC
Reauthorization Act of 2008 ([] [] CRA [] []) 1
with respect to off-exchange transactions in
foreign currency with members of the retail public
(i.e., [] [] retail forex transactions [] []).
As a retail investor I find this proposal
discouraging and unfairly restrictive to the
average smaller investor. I sincerely hope that
those elements contained in this proposal, which
ultimately discourages retail investors from this
market by imposing an extraordinary multiple
increase in margin requirements, does not find it's
way through the approval process.
