commenter_subject: Regulation of Retail Forex
commenter_comments: To whom it may concern,
Please note as a small investor, if the CFTC
changes the 100:1 to 10:1 leverage, I wouldn [] t be
able to trade the Forex market, thus leaving us
out. This will require us (small investors) to
place a lot more financial risks in the market and
most probably wouldn [] t be able to sustain
ourselves. And in the process, we will lose many
of the small investors.
A 10 to 1 limitation means 10% margin requirement,
the risk-reward ratio that is so appealing to the
average investor today under 100:1 leverage would
no longer be available if the proposal is passed.
I hope the proposed regulation doesn []t go
through, to me, trading the Forex market is far
better than placing it with any mutual fund
manager, because no one cares about my funds than
myself.
