If the Head of the CFTC had been listened to and derivatives regulated, instead of Greenspan, the financial meltdown may have been prevented. Defunding the CFTC is an idiot's requesty to have it happen all over again. We need a strong CFTC and Consumer Protection agency--for the health of our banking system as well as the financial industry.
