I am greatly in favour of limits to speculation, especially on food. It has been clearly shown that speculation contributes to spikes in food prices such as that in 2008, and the same thing seems to be happening again now. These price rises cause us in the West to cut back a bit, but for some in the poorest countries it means they litterally cannot give their children enough food.
Please implement the Dodd-Frank Act thoroughly. Only give exemptions to businesses that deal in physical commodities like farmers. Do not give any exemptions to banks, hedge funds or other financial players.
