I am in agreement with many of the writers here regarding the need for immediate implementation of limits on how agricultural and energy commodities are currently traded. I would urge the Commission to take this further than the proposed limits, as the current actions by many commodities traders and investment firms should be considered treason against the U. S. public. These trading actions will be the death knell for our economy and national security, and only serves to benefit the small minority directly associated with commodities trading.
The CFTC would signal a new level of transparency and integrity to pass these position limits especially if you indicate a consideration of further rollbacks in the future to reign in market manipulation by the select few.
