As a concerned citizen, I am in favour of implementing the proposed limits, so as to prevent a recurrence of the spikes in commodity prices (for food in particular) that we saw in 2008 and are seeing again at present.
If exemptions are necessary, these should be granted only to businesses that deal in the physical commodities concerned, and not to financial players such as banks and hedge funds.
