Subject: Speculative Position Limits in Silver
Honorable Mr. Obie:
Surely your Commission will do the right thing - which is to abandon the outrageous proposal of a silver speculative position limit of 26,500,000 ounces or 5300 contracts!
The reason is simply that PAPER silver speculators must not be allowed to dwarf the legitimate ACTUAL silver producers, consumers and hedgers.
A limit of 7,500,000 ounces or 1500 contracts is more than fair given the imminent severe shortages of real silver.
If these thoughts are defective I would appreciate your directing me to their correction.
