I am a retired person, I have little savings but I have bought some silver over the last 5 years simply because it occurs in the earths crust at a rate only 17 times more plentiful than gold. Now I have taken an interest in market price discovery mechanisms. From what I have been able to understand the price discovery mechanism for silver is broken.
There are few people who understand what is being done to inhibit price discovery, but there are many many millions of small investors who hold silver in hope of being protected from the great uncertainty surrounding us, the ability of large holders to control mountains of silvers is hurting the process of price discovery and it is hurting the great unwashed.
Please institute a 1500 contract (7.5 million ounce) position limit for silver.
