Dear Sir/Madam,
As an ordinary citizen who believes they have been negatively affected by lack of regulation of the derivatives market, I would ask that you develop regulations that serve the interests of the public, not those who are being regulated.
Having followed your efforts in the media, I recognize that you are dealing with very complex issues. I realize that much of the information you require is best garnered from those who developed and actively participate in in derivative trading. I am concerned that those who provide that information do not do so out interest for ordinary citizens who ultimately will be affected, but from their business interests. I would encourage you to also receive guidance from those in the academic community who understand these complexities and don't have a conflict of interest.
