On behalf of the Working Group of Commercial Energy Firms, Hunton & Williams LLP respectfully submits this letter in response to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (the “Commission” or “CFTC”) request for comment concerning the Commission’s Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on the Registration of Swap Dealers and Major Swap Participants (the “Proposed Rules”).
Please note that this filing should amend and replace an erroneous previous filing under this rulemaking made today, January 24, 2011 at approximately 4:50 PM EST. The attached document under Comment File 27279 (27279_DavidMcIndoe.pdf), dated October 22, 2010, was attached in error and not meant to be filed. Please use the file attached to this submission as the comments to be submitted by the Working Group of Commercial Energy Firms.
