Newedge supports a strong compliance culture at brokers and other industry participants. CFTC proposed rules related to the obligations of chief compliance officers would weaken this by putting too much responsibility for the compliance culture of a firm on the CCO, not all of its officers and employees. This is the wrong approach. Newedge suggests another approach.
