The American Securitization Forum (“ASF”) appreciates the opportunity to submit the attached request for a correction of the effective date of the Volcker Rule in response to the request of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (“OCC”) for comments regarding RIN 3038-AD05, relating to prohibitions and restrictions on proprietary trading and certain interests in, and relationships with, hedge funds and private equity funds, which was released on November 7, 2011 and issued jointly by the OCC, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
