This letter is submitted on behalf of HSBC Life (International) Limited, a life insurance company incorporated in Bermuda which is authorized and regulated by the Hong Kong Commissioner of Insurance to carry on long term insurance business in the jurisdiction of Hong Kong in response to the request for comment on the proposed rule on "Prohibitions and Restrictions on Proprietary Trading and Certain Interests in, and Relationships with, Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds."
