Regulation of Retail Forex
Dear Secretary Stawick,
I'm an independent Forex trader who depends on retail Forex brokers for my living.
Undoubtedly ALL Forex brokers (retail and non-retail) could do with some regulating. As in any
unregulated industry, there are some good ones and some bad ones.
But with this proposal you're regulating
me,
not the retail broker.
And that, Sir, is unacceptable.
Government has no fight to disadvantage me and further tip the playing field in favor of non-retail forex
traders. Currently their size and status offers them the significant advantages of access to faster trade
execution and better pricing.
I'm quite capable of determining the level of risk I'm willing to bear.
Have you spoken informally with retail Forex traders to understand how their business works and the
issues they face? I'd be happy to discuss this matter further with you or your associates. My telephone
number is included below.
