FOREX Margin Change Comment
Dear Secretary,
I am concerned about the
recently proposed margin changes by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission
(CFTC) could increase the minimum margin requirement to 10 percent (10-to-1 leverage). This change would force me to
stop an interesting trading activity in the FOREX Market. I have been trading successfully in mini-lots using a $3K base. The
proposal to change the leverage I would require from 100:1 to 10:1 would disqualify me from my interesting and mildly
profitable enterprise.
Please reconsider, and perhaps make an exception for small traders.
