Precious Metals Position Limits
Dear Secretary of the Commission,
I paid very close attention to the recentCFTC meeting held on March 25th. Thank you for holding
it and thanks for allowing the public to comment.
I believe there is manipulation in the precious metals markets, especially in the silver market, due
to the extreme concentration on the short side. I'm writing to ask you to please establish a
speculative position limit in COMEX silver of no more than 1500 contracts. Please restrict any
hedging exemptions from those limits to legitimate hedgers. Please stop the levels of concentration
in COMEX silver futures that have been experienced over the past few years on the short side of
the market. Please do your best to enforce this so that the the big shorts are not allowed to
circumvent those limits.
