On March 9, 2020, CFTC staff met with representatives of
FIA. The meeting lasted for approximately 40 minutes. It focused on a potential
approach to a principles-based rulemaking addressing electronic trading,
including potential issues defining operational risk, types of risk controls
utilized by exchanges, and notice to the CFTC of disruptive events.
