On January 30, 2020, CFTC staff
met with representatives from NFA. The meeting lasted approximately one
hour. It focused on a potential approach to a principles-based rulemaking
addressing electronic trading, including the terms algorithmic trading and
operational risk, as well as existing rules and regulations applicable to
various types of market participants.
