Dear CFTC Comments:
Do you know anyone who lost her job three years ago, and is working (after
a professional, hard-working career of 30 years) for $10 an hour behind a
counter in a department store, who now can't make mortgage payments on her
700 sq. foot condo she only bought five years ago at the age of 53, and is
now in danger of losing that roof over her head? I do. Do you know
anyone who put his whole heart, soul, and mortgaged "the farm" for a small
business endeavor that was sure to succeed--until the ECONOMY IMPLODED,
leaving him with no return for four years hard work, nor that of his two
sons, and in danger of foreclosure of his home? I do. Yet the very people
(I don't consider them people--'monsters' is more appropriate) who caused
this feel no remorse over what they have done and, indeed, are actually
arrogantly continuing along the same path of disaster. And they have
been, and continue to be, REWARDED for the disasters they have made of the
lives of common, hard-working, middle-class Americans. SOMETHING NEEDS
TO CHANGE! REINSTALL THE REGULATIONS THAT FDR PUT IN PLACE DURING THE
DEPRESSION! DO SOMETHING!
Sincerely,
Tamara Pezzente
