The proposed rule discusses the public interest implications of of political futures markets, also known as political prediction markets. The proposed rule is overwhelmingly negative and does not consider any of the positives. I am attaching this Economist article which points out why prediction markets are good. The CFTC should incorporate the arguments and explain why it disagrees, not just ignore things it doesn't like.
