I don’t understand what the CFTC is scared of here. The proposal smacks of an agency stuck in the 1940s and is scared about the morality of betting. The market cannot affect the real world but should be able to give information to the broad public. Are you looking to shut down the Iowa Market too? This proposal is naive and silly. These markets are not gaming and if you can’t distinguish between a roulette wheel and this you need to resign. The markets are capped and information based not gaming. You should be ashamed that this is even a serious proposal.
