The CFTC has not presented compelling evidence that election contracts harm electoral integrity. Meanwhile, the proposal ignores the significant benefits these markets provide for transparency and information aggregation. I urge all commissioners to vote no on this ban and instead consider how to leverage these markets for public benefit.
