The CFTC's attempt to ban election contracts represents regulatory overreach. This proposal extends far beyond the Commission's statutory authority and threatens to set a dangerous precedent. I urge all commissioners to oppose this ban and respect the limits of the CFTC's mandate as intended by Congress.
