The CFTC's proposal to ban election contracts is deeply misguided. These markets serve a crucial role in risk management for businesses affected by policy shifts. By allowing hedging against electoral outcomes, they provide a valuable economic function. I strongly urge the Commission to vote against this proposal and preserve these essential financial tools.
