The proposed rule could lead to a brain drain in the financial sector, where talented innovators and firms relocate offshore to escape restrictive U.S. regulations. This would not only diminish the quality of our financial markets but also limit the development of new products that could benefit consumers and investors. The CFTC should prioritize creating a conducive environment for innovation to thrive. Otherwise, we may find ourselves at a disadvantage in the global marketplace.
