By imposing strict regulations on event contracts, the CFTC risks pushing innovative firms and activities offshore to jurisdictions with less oversight. This not only undermines the U.S. financial system but also hampers the development of new financial products that could benefit investors. The CFTC should recognize that a balanced regulatory approach is essential for fostering growth and maintaining market integrity. Otherwise, we may see a significant migration of talent and resources to more accommodating markets.
