The justification for banning election-related event contracts is woefully inadequate. Phrases like "threat to democracy" are mere rhetoric without supporting evidence. These markets enhance transparency and provide important economic functions. Your reluctance to oversee them is not a valid reason to prohibit them entirely. I urge you to reconsider this proposal and provide substantive analysis of the actual risks and benefits.
