Your proposed rule on event contracts lacks concrete justification. Claiming that election markets are a "threat to democracy" without providing evidence is not a valid basis for regulation. These markets have been shown to provide valuable information and risk management tools. The vague concern about being an "election cop" does not outweigh the benefits these markets offer. Please provide data-driven reasoning for any proposed restrictions.
