This rule represents regulatory overreach. The CFTC's mandate is to ensure fair, transparent markets - not to decide which specific products can be traded. Election markets, when properly regulated, can meet all the criteria for fair and transparent trading. Instead of a blanket ban, the Commission should develop appropriate guidelines for operating these markets responsibly on regulated exchanges. Why do you allow them to exist on Polymarket but ban good guys from doing so like PredictIt and Kalshi? This makes no sense and is not consumer protection. It is overreach and it is hurting everyone except for the illegal actors.
