Banning election markets on regulated exchanges won't eliminate demand for these products. Instead, it will drive activity to unregulated, potentially offshore platforms, where consumers lack protection and transparency is limited. This could actually increase the risk of market manipulation or fraud. The CFTC should focus on creating a safe, regulated environment for these markets.
