The CFTC's proposed ban on election markets is misguided. These markets serve as efficient aggregators of public information, often outperforming traditional polls in predicting outcomes. By eliminating them from regulated exchanges, we lose a valuable tool for understanding public sentiment. The Commission should focus on regulating these markets responsibly rather than banning them outright.
