    Comment Text:

I support the approval of event prediction contracts related to congressional control, given their significance in educational policy analysis. As an educational policy analyst in Lincoln, Nebraska, I would be able to use these contracts to forecast potential shifts in federal education funding and policy priorities. These markets could provide critical insights into legislative impacts on educational equity, school funding allocations, and curriculum development, such as predictions on congressional outcomes helping to inform strategic planning in educational institutions and advocacy efforts aimed at advancing equitable access to quality education.

The proposed ban undermines the role of these contracts in facilitating evidence-based policy analysis and advocacy within the education sector. By allowing stakeholders to hedge against policy uncertainties, these contracts would promote stability and innovation in educational practices, benefiting students, educators, and policymakers alike. Therefore, I urge the CFTC to support regulatory frameworks that enhance transparency and accessibility in prediction markets, ensuring continued innovation in educational policy research and decision-making.

    Sincerely,
    Will
