I am writing to oppose your proposed ban on event prediction markets, particularly those focused on political elections. As a political consultant based in South Carolina, I wish I had the ability to utilize Kalshi's prediction markets to analyze electoral dynamics and assess campaign strategies for clients across the political spectrum. These markets would be invaluable in providing insights into voter sentiment and electoral outcomes, enabling informed decision-making, and strategic planning. For example, during congressional campaigns, Kalshi could provide insight into voter turnout and swing district outcomes, guiding campaign resource allocation and different messaging strategies.

The markets would be regulated and LEGAL unlike Polymarket. Why are those allowed but Kalshi is not? Please vote no on this proposal and let the DC Court decide the fate (as it was before the CFTC decided to propose a rule!)
