    Comment Text:

To the Members of the CFTC,

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed ban on Kalshi's event prediction markets, which are instrumental in facilitating informed investment decisions and risk management strategies. As a financial advisor based in Asheville, North Carolina, if these regulated markets were approved for public use and interaction, I could rely on these markets to analyze political risks and anticipate market volatility on behalf of my clients. The CFTC's proposal to prohibit these markets disbands their role in enhancing market transparency and investor confidence.

Furthermore, the arbitrary nature of the proposed ban and the lack of empirical evidence to support the necessity of the ban undermines regulatory credibility and market integrity. Instead of stifling innovation, regulators should collaborate with financial professionals to develop regulatory frameworks that foster market resilience and protect investor interests. I seek for the Commission to reconsider its approach and engage in meaningful dialogue to conduct balanced regulations.
