I am in favor of election betting. I think it is a fun way to engage people into the electoral process. I don't see any real negatives to this as all elections are essentially bets on the future. If you don't want to bet cash on elections, you don't have to. If CFTC wants to implement a small tax on bets, that is fine. I just think it should be able to continue on and people should have the freedom to bet if they so desire.
