    Dear Commissioners,

As a trade and tech enthusiast, I have always sought out innovative platforms that provide more accurate and insightful data than traditional methods. Kalshi’s event contract markets, particularly for elections, offer a level of precision and real-time sentiment analysis that conventional polling cannot match. The proposed restrictions on election contracts are misguided and fail to recognize the value these markets bring in terms of predictive accuracy and economic insight. By prohibiting these contracts, the CFTC is stifling innovation and denying market participants a valuable tool for risk management and informed decision-making. We need a forward-thinking approach that embraces technological advancements and the benefits they offer. I urge you to reconsider and vote against these restrictions. I also urge you to extend the comment period to allow for a more robust and fullsome record.

    Sincerely,
    Alex Thompson
