Free and fair elections are essential to our democracy. It is unthinkable that we would undermine our election process by turning them into opportunities to gamble. Voting should never be a form of gambling and I am astonished that this proposed rule is being considered. When distrust of election results is already high, this is a terrible idea. It will magnify divisiveness and heighten distrust of election results if they become subject to betting and associated financial gains.
I strongly urge you to uphold the importance of voting rights and to not approve this rule.
