What a truly horrible idea to propose allowing gambling on our elections. Our elections aren’t a game!!
This would totally subvert our democracy as it would be another plaything for billionaires and special interest groups to use to manipulate our elections like they do the stock market. They would start spending money to influence the voters to try to get a big payout. This idea is beyond disgusting and anti-democratic.
The billionaires are already spending billions to get their favored politician elected who is then their puppet in Congress to make sure the billionaires’ wealthy is protected. The greed and power of these people is killing our democracy and now you want them to destroy our elections. Our elections are not a game to be won or lost for financial gain – they’re supposed to be about one person, one vote.
