As a deeply concerned constituent from Colorado Springs, CO, I oppose and urge the CFTC in the strongest terms to reject KalshiEX, LLC’s Congressional control event contract. Authorizing gambling on the outcome of United States elections is contrary to the public interest and would undermine the integrity of our elections as well as our democracy. It will create incentives for even more disinformation and election interference and further increase the corrupting influence of money in our politics. There would be even more financial reasons to manipulate and interfere in our elections and open the door to further corruption.
This is a truly bad idea and I ask that the Commission reject KalshiEX, LLC’s proposal as contrary to the public interest. Thank you for your consideration of this matter of the utmost importance.
