Allowing people to gamble on elections is an extremely bad and stupid idea. This will undermine voting and our democracy. Citizens who already doubt the legitimacy of elections will never trust the outcome. Others who believe in elections will lose faith, and stop voting. Gambling on elections will allow special interest groups and others to fix elections; their candidates will win. These candidates are beholden to them and will vote for laws undermining our democracy.
This will undermine 'one person, one vote.' This is another step towards a dictatorship in which one person, and special interests will rule. Citizens won't have rights. They will be jailed or killed for speaking out and protesting. If we lose our Democracy after this law passes, shame you. You are a disgrace to the CFTC. Shame! Shame! Shame on all of you. Your names will live on in infamy.
