I thought it was a joke when I saw that there was a possibility of allowing gambling on elections. This is so egregiously inappropriate I feel compelled to ask if you people have lost your minds? Voting is a sacred obligation in a democracy but Trump and MAGA Republicans lies about and attacks on our voting system have constituted the most dangerous assault on it in our history. We have endured and are still contending with interference from Russia and who knows what other foreign actors, unprecedented voter suppression legislation in Republican controlled states and a barrage of internet and media lies pedaled by partisans whose lust for power has turned them against the very idea of democracy. This is not even a proposal worth considering but since it is apparently being considered I hope you people have the good sense to aggressively swat it down and make clear it is not something that is acceptable now or at any time in the future.
