I am writing today to ask the CFTC to allow online political betting to resume. The markets on websites such as Predictit and Kalshi are not only a fun way to educate yourself and engage in US politics, the data generated is invaluable for researchers. The markets also are consistently more accurate than the data traditional pollsters can provide. As they say, when people have to “put their money where their mouth is,” their opinions can differ significantly. Thank you for your consideration.
