To be fair the existence of betting has brought culture to many places you’d not otherwise expect, Churchill Downs and all the fancy hats, Russian billionaires, Las Vegas. Still, it hasn’t exactly been brought into line with our expectation of political intercourse to be stolid and sometimes ludicrous. Kalshis ask to bring betting to political races is in line with my own expectations that we should Make Elections Lots of Fun (M.E.L.F.) for short.
