To whom it may concern,
Why would the CFTC continue to prevent the public from seeing swap data for more than 2 years now? A proposal to block the sharing of swap data for how many more years? Could it be that the CFTC is worried that there is some very damaging information in the swap data? Have hedge funds and participating financial institutions reached a precipice with their derivatives (short bets) that could damage the global economy? The public deserves to know. Enough is enough. I strongly oppose any further delays in releasing the swap data.
