I am a individual who is in full support of elections markets coming to the Kalshi exchange for me to hedge on. Political control affects me in many ways. Specifically Political control effects me greatly. I live in a rural area that feels political issues/acts of congress in every aspect of life. Most recently, the covid mandates that resulted in many small business closures. These businesses are the backbone of my small community. . I would use Kalshi's contracts to hedge my risks by As a small business owner, I have learned to hedge everything. Being able to hedge political risk is a reason I am still able to be in business today. .Additionally, while not before the CFTC right now, please understand that other elections also pose risk to me. For example, Other elections also pose problems for me as a small business owner. Buying foreign goods that can be restricted at any point makes being able to hedge with these contracts a necessity. . Thank you for listening and I hope you make the correct decision.
