If the CFTC is not going to allow Predict.org to run election based contracts, then Kalshi.com should also be prevented from doing election based contracts.
I would rather see both allowed, but it would be inconsistent to just allow one to exist and not the other. I think the public right now is very skeptical of the future for prediction contracts, and allowing one website to do it but not another will make the CFTC look biased like it is picking an choosing winners. I think going forward the CFTC needs to be consistent and public about if election contracts are legal and allowed. Apply the rules to all exchanges, Polymarket.com included.
