I believe Kalshi's proposed Congressional control contracts will be a benefit to American individuals and American society as a whole. It is important for individuals to be able to have reasonable estimates of the probabilities of certain political developments that could greatly impact their lives, and, furthermore, be able to hedge against potential negative impacts of those political developments on their lives. A prediction market is superior to individual polling as it can aggregate data across all polls, and other "fuzzier" information available. Furthermore, I believe allowing these markets could increase political participation and voter turnout. Finally, similar markets have been operating on PredictIt for years without causing notable issues. Please allow Kalshi to operate these markets.
